How I got here.

Ten years in three parts.

Then

Seven years in the Air Force as a Munitions Systems Engineer. The job was easy to describe and hard to do: know where every asset is, all the time, and never be wrong about it. That is where I learned to build systems instead of trusting people to remember, and where I first led a team.

Since

Northrop Grumman taught me formal systems engineering: model-based architecture, requirements traceability, and chairing governance boards. GE Healthcare sharpened that into software systems engineering: data architecture, logging and observability, and testing protocols, built alongside the software engineers who owned the code, then validated with the clinicians who would actually use it.

Now

At BAE Systems I own a $60M+ integration program on the customer side, govern technical interfaces across five partner organizations, and lead independent review on a contested integration to protect program and financial interests before acceptance.

BAE Systems, Inc. Engineering Project Manager MAY 2025 — PRESENT
  • Primary customer-side owner of a $60M+ systems integration program, governing technical interfaces across five partner organizations including Johns Hopkins APL and Northrop Grumman; independently built and led a contested technical review to protect program and financial interests before acceptance.
  • Led a cross-organizational effort with partner organizations including Johns Hopkins APL and Northrop Grumman, applying prior high-consequence regulatory compliance expertise to bridge certification knowledge gaps and mapping the end-to-end software delivery pipeline from development through independent verification; closed a critical dependency gap, establishing a software delivery pathway across three partner sites supporting sustainment engineering teams.
  • Reconciled competing requirements across 5 engineering teams into the authoritative roadmap for a $12B portfolio, and was given senior lead status within 60 days.
  • Independently launched and operated a standalone organizational model through a 14-day blackout with no external support, achieving 100% operational continuity and zero delivery failures.
GE Healthcare Lead Systems Engineer AUG 2024 — MAY 2025
  • Built an automated client-onboarding risk engine compressing clinical verification from 5 days to 4 hours.
  • Owned end-to-end SE for the OEC Elite 3D needle trajectory feature: formal FMEA, hazard analysis, multi-day clinical V&V, shipped with zero post-release issues and global physician adoption.
  • Redesigned a queue management system's underlying data structures, working directly with software engineers to review code and adjust system parameters, reducing cycle times by 40%.
  • Designed a unified data logging architecture within the software stack, engineering the error visibility framework that decreased mean time to resolution by 35%.
